Looking at how q_t is calculated, what is the logic behind making it include “abstain” votes. Isn’t an abstain a signal that you are not voting, and if not, how does it differ from a “nay” vote? I can see that the supermajority calculation is non-abstaining, then shouldn’t it be the same for q_t (and subsequently Q_t recalculation)?
I’m also not sure I follow your Q_t+1 formula using averages. Seems to be using q_t+1 to calculate the subsequent average, which wouldn’t be available yet I would imagine in this flow.
